Come explore how to foster connection between your learners with a deep-dive into the current research surrounding discourse in math classrooms. Knowing that learning and meaning-making is social, you will discover how discourse can have a positive impact on problem-solving skills and the overall learning experience.

  • Examine current research around discourse in mathematics, and why tools for conveying and defending mathematical ideas can be so powerful for students’ learning 

  • Discover and unpack strategies for embedding mathematical discourse into instruction
